Unidirectional fabrics in carbon fiber, can be produced with 2 different technologies:
Unidirectional fabrics stitched (NCFs), consisting in layers of parallel fibers arranged in 1 orientation 0º or 90º, stitched with thin textured polyester yarns. It’s also possible to have different orientations +45º, -45º, +30º on request.
The longitudinal direction of 0° is always the direction of the length of the roll and the stitching direction.
These items are produced in a standard width from 1270mm to 2540 mm.
Currently the know-how developed over the years has allowed the production of a range of fabrics ranging from 100 gr / M² to 600 gr / M².
Unidirectional tapes in a single orientation 0º, produced with conventional technology warp-weft.
Weft direction is normally in “E” glass fibre, and can be thermofixed, a process which gives more stability to cutting and handling.
These items are produced in a standard width from 20mm to 500 mm.
Currently the production range of unidirectional tapes goes from 200 gr/M² to 1200 gr/M².
