The consolidation, renovation or restoration of structural elements in civil engineering is one of the most recent and innovative fields where multiaxial technology is applied with excellent results. Selcom was a pioneer in the construction industry with products made specifically for anti-seismic reinforcements; in addition, we have expertise in the production and optimization of NCF reinforcement and in the development of multi-functional fabrics, in which sensors, sensory fibers and nanotechnology can be integrated.
We are proud to inform you that Selcom has recently opened a new production plant dedicated to carbon fabrics next to our headquarters in Fregona – Italy. This move – that led us doubling our overall production – is a response to the fast growing worldwide demand of Selcom carbon fabrics.
Recently, Selcom has developed a new range of carbon multiaxial fabrics (NCF) for the automotive sector. They are biaxial and triaxial fabrics made with IM modulus like T800, MR60, MR70. These new fabrics have been developed for the production of chassis and aerodynamic parts of the most appreciated supercars.
This year edition of JEC World was full of very interesting business meetings for Selcom. At our stand, we showcased all our multiaxial fabrics solutions, with central focus on our new range of carbon biaxial and triaxial fabrics made with IM modulus like T800, MR60, MR70. These multiaxials are ideal for the production of chassis and aerodynamic parts of supercars.
The flexibility of multiaxial fabrics construction technology makes it possible to satisfy a variety of different system applications, e.g. light aircrafts, automotive, marine, civil engineering, sports, wind energy…
This year again, we are exhibiting at JEC World 2018, taking place on 6-8 March in Paris. Stop by our Stand Hall 5 – booth N30 and get to know our innovative multiaxial fabrics.
We look forward to meeting you!
Selcom is indeed very sensitive to recycling. 100% of the production waste and packaging are reused in other industrial processes. Moreover Selcom has covered 80% of its electricity consumption thanks to a huge rooftop photovoltaic installation.
